The Westin Casuarina: Just Off The Strip

Wes CasuarinaThe 826 room Westin Casuarina gets overlooked many times because of it's location. It's location near The Strip is overshadowed by one of it's nearest neighbors – Bally's. So, if you know where Bally's is at and would like a more quiet atmosphere while still within walking distance of all the action, the Westin Casuarina may be the hotel for you. It's exact address is 160 E. Flamingo Road. The hotel is like many Westins. It has an obvious upscale casual decor and a friendly staff. The Casuarina porvides a cozy atmosphere. Even the casino is low-key. The casino at the Westin Casuarina is a great place to meet fellow lodgers. It's also great for business travel and provides a good amount of meeting space as well. There is a pool area and a spa. We didn't take part in any of the spa services, but were told there are 15 treatment rooms, as well as a full-service hair salon. Spa Hibiscus is definitely on our list next time we visit the Westin in Las Vegas.

Wynn Las Vegas: Another Impressive Wynn!

Las Vegas, WynnAfter recently talking with my travel agent, we decided we would try out the new Wynn resort. She gave the property high praise and we did check it out on Trip Advisor. We knew this would be a vast contrast compared to the usual places we've stayed in the past; Treasure Island, The Mirage and The Venetian. As it turned out, our rate was only $179 a night for 4 nights, which I considered fantastic for Las Vegas these days. Now, that may have changed by now and we were in on some kind of speicial deal. Wynn turned out to be great. Everyone at the Wynn was very friendly to us. Our travel agent told the concierge that we were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel greeted us very warmly and gave us a free upgrade to a corner suite. The view was spectacular. We only had to wait about 5 minutes in line. The room was pure luxury. Incredible fabrics and colors. Top of the line linens and furnishings. I am so glad that Wynn has brought such a sophisticated resort to the Las Vegas strip. It really is top notch class act. We will return again. In fact we have booked a trip with several more of our friends for Memorial Day weekend. We recommend Wynn a try, you will be very glad you did!
